Our Food

Our food philosophy is to provide, wherever possible, seasonal, locally sourced, organic food prepared to order on the day and tailored to your requirements. We also aim to use Fair Trade and environmentally friendly products. This approach enables us to offer the very best in local food whilst supporting the local economy and giving our guests a taste of Wales.

Some examples:

Eggs are free range and purchased from landowners in and around Llanwrtyd

Fruit and Vegetables are largely purchased from local independant retailers.

Breadhomemade using a mix of organic flours including flour from Bacheldre Watermill. We are currently working on making sourdough bread.

Porridge Oats – A mix of organic, jumbo and standard oats purchased from a local health food shop

Breakfast is served in our spacious dining room which adjoins a large and comfortable guest lounge. Seating arrangements are flexible and individual tables for 2 people can be joined together for larger numbers. The guest lounge provides a comfortable area for coffee / tea and a chat prior to breakfast, going out for the evening or on your return.

For meals out Llanwrtyd Wells is very well served for eateries.

The town has 3 restaurants, a pizzeria, 3 pubs and a microbrewery. The pubs all serve good pub food and will give you a warm welcome. The restaurants are somewhat pricier but are worth the extra. The pizzeria is ideal for later meals as it serves from 8.30. It is advisable to book all restaurants in advance. We also have a daytime café with home made cake and the best café food for miles

Carlton Riverside – wonderful food with a modern twist, locally sourced ingredients and a great wine list. Chose from a two level menu with prices from £19.50 for 2 courses.  Tel 01591 610248
